YOUTH@GENERAL SYNOD JUNE 26-JULY 2

      We are excited to offer the opportunity to attend the 2013 General Synod in Long Beach, CA and participate in the special Youth@GeneralSynod programming. Check out all the scheduled events and exciting opportunities available for our youth on the website.

      Each participate needs to register on-line at: youth@generalsynod.org">youth@generalsynod.org. Each youth needs to pay his/her $180 registration and adult chaperones $255. Please be sure to register as part of the “Southwest Conference” group so we will keep track of our members. You will need to sign-up with a separate e-mail for each person you register for future correspondence and confirmation.

      You will be asked to choose a “service project” and we’ve decided to participate in the Beach Clean-up day on Saturday, June 29 which is a ”non-fee” opportunity. While on the website, be sure to check the daily schedule of events and opportunities to be part of a Youth Sing Out. Sure to be a wonderful opportunity! Please be sure to fill out the medical release forms, youth covenant, and miscellaneous forms listed with the registration procedures.

      Additionally, each participant will register at the Southwest Conference website at: uccswc.org for the remaining $335 of trip expenses which includes hotel/lodging for 6 nights, transportation expenses, 3 meals each day (Continental Breakfast provided with hotel rate), Aquarium of the Pacific admission, and stop off at Laguna Beach on our trip home.

Grand total for the trip is $515 per youth. Cost break down:

$180 registration paid by each participant The remaining $335 can be split by your home church if possible and Sow the Seed fund. We don’t want anyone to be left out due to the needed funds.
