Material Aids

Material Aids provides help to those in our community who are in need by making and distributing quilts that provide warmth and comfort to adults and children alike, and also by assembling layettes that bring loving and caring help to mothers who would otherwise be unable to provide adequate care to their new born infants.

During 2015 many items were made to pass out during the year and at Christmas.  Prayer shawls were given out to new members, members with health problems or surgeries and also members who moved to new places.  Quilts were given to the homeless via Family Promise, layettes for new babies at the Crisis Center and lap robes to our chaplains who work in hospice to give out.   Also many hats and scarves, quilts and afghans were given to the Rebel & Divine youth and also to Mulligan Manor at Christmas as gifts.

Except for summer months, the Material Aids group meets at the church on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 10:00 A.M. to noon to work on quilts and layettes.
