Our Vision

Scottsdale Congregational United Church of Christ is a community of Artistic-Revolutionary-Evolutionary Christians.

ARTISTIC:

As partners with the Creator, everyone is an artist, bringing creativity and energy to all we do.

REVOLUTIONARY:

We work creativity and compassionately to change the world in which we live for the sake of justice, love, and peace. We are Open and Affirming.

EVOLUTIONARY:

As Progressive Christians, our understanding of God and our world continues to grow and evolve.

Our Mission

ARTISTIC:

• Offering worship that is creative, experiential, heart-warming and life changing. We are all artists of the Spirit when we worship together.
• Providing a welcome home for all forms of artistic expression. Cultivating a home for deep inspiration.
• Exploring creativity as a spiritual discipline.

REVOLUTIONARY:

• Witnessing to the inclusive love of God in the world.
• Participating in actions that embody Christ’s unconditional justice, love and peace.
• Proclaiming our Open and Affirming values making all God’s people welcome in our community.

EVOLUTIONARY:

• Participating in God’s ongoing testament in our lives and our world; embodying a faith that is Bible based but not Bible bound.
• Building a strong faith community through age-appropriate and intergenerational programming including a solid Progressive Christian foundation for Life-long Spiritual Growth.
